Iritis or uveitis is described as the inflammation of the middle layer of the eye which is called the uveal tract. Signs of iritis include pain in one or both of the eyes, blurred vision, redness, increased sensitivity to light and the presence of floaters. Iritis may be due to an immune system problem, an infection and an indirect injury to the eye. There are different types of iritis.
