A child that has a part of his/her 5th chromosome missing has a group of symptoms comprising a cat like cry, slanting eyes, ears set lower down than normal, partially fused fingers or toes, a small head, small jaw, eyes set wide apart from each other and some other abnormalities. No cure is available for this condition, but symptoms may be relieved with medication.
