Ways to pay for private treatment at Boston West Hospital

Boston West Hospital welcomes both privately insured and self-pay patients under its Premium Care scheme which offers a range of exclusive benefits, including a choice of consultant and priority access to appointments and treatment.

Self pay

Self-funding patients are required to pay the full cost of their procedure prior to coming into hospital. Payment can be made by bank cheque, building society cheque, credit card or debit card (with the exception of American Express) up to and including the day before admission. Personal cheques must be received at least 7 days working days before admission.

What's included

A fixed priced quotation for treatment is provided which outlines costs and included extras.

Insured patients

Insured patients are required to gain authorisation from their insurance company prior to attending the hospital for consultation and possible diagnostic tests and should establish whether or not there is an excess to pay.

Patients are requested to bring the following information with them on the day of treatment:

  • Name of the insurance company
  • Registration number
  • The scale or level of insurance cover
  • Corporate/Company scheme details
  • Claim number or authorisation code

It may also be necessary to fill in a claim form.
