Ways to pay for private treatment at Berkshire Independent Hospital

Berkshire Independent Hospital accepts a number of different ways for patients to pay for their treatments including self-pay and private medical insurance.

Self pay

For self-funded patients, you will be required to pay the full cost of your procedure before coming into hospital. This can be paid for by credit or debit card, excluding American Express. If you wish to pay by personal cheque, you must ensure to submit your cheque 14 days in advance.

What's included

To ensure you receive the best care possible, Berkshire Independent Hospital offers their patients Premium Care. Premium Care provides patients with additional benefits, including a choice of consultant, choice of appointment, an individual pre-operative assessment and physiotherapy, which all helps to differentiate them from other large hospitals. Premium Care is available to most privately insured patients.

Insured patients

Patients with medical insurance are required to have pre-authorisation from your health insurer before you arrive at the hospital, to ensure that your treatment costs will be covered.
