Career History
Mr Chawla gained his Fellowship in Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1994. He was elected as a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists and has been awarded the Fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is on the panel of Examiners of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London.
Mr Chawla is a member of American, European, UK and Ireland Societies of cataract and refractive surgery, Oxford and North of England ophthalmological societies.
Mr Chawla is one of the Founder members of British Society of Oculoplastic Surgeons. He has several research publications to his credit and is closely involved with audit and clinical governance.
Radiofrequency Surgery techniques
Mr Chawla has extensive experience in Ellman radiofrequency surgery which results in faster healing with minimal scarring for removal of benign lumps and cancerous lesions around eyes and face including reconstruction of eyelids; and all other oculoplastic procedures.
Mr Chawla offers Botox treatments for Blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm.
