Thigh lift
Thigh lift is also known as a thighplasty. This procedure is carried out to remove excess skin and fat from the thighs. A long incision is made and elliptical segments of skin and fat are removed. The skin is then tightened by lifting the remaining skin and tissues. It is often carried out in combination with liposuction. The main disadvantage of a thighplasty is the long and prominent scar on the outer and inner thigh. The length of the scar depends on the amount of the skin to be removed. Possible complications are bruising, infection, blood collection under the skin and nerve damage.
