Spinal fusion
Spinal fusion
Spinal fusion is a surgical procedure performed on spinal injuries, damaged discs and other disorders of the spine. It is performed by fusing one joint/vertebrae to another, either by addiding bone between the two joints or by using instrumentation. This procedure prevents further movement in these joints and this, in turn, reduces or eliminates pain.
