Piles, also known as ‘haemorrhoids,’ are vascular swellings of the normal tissue present in and around the region of the anus. This disorder occurs when these blood vessels get congested and swollen. The most prominent symptom of piles is bleeding during defecation. There could also be bleeding while passing stools, itchiness around the anus and pain.
