Parkinson’s disease is a condition where an area of the brain becomes damaged. Symptoms are tremors, slow movement and stiff muscles. Parkinson’s disease is caused by the loss of nerve cells in the brain leading to a decrease in the amount of dopamine in the brain. There are also genetic and environmental factors that increase the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease.
