Neck strains

Neck strains

Neck strains may be caused by different factors, but the most common reason is an awkward positioning during sleep and bad posture while performing day to day tasks and sitting at a computer. Wear and tear in older sufferers can also be a causative factor. The pain and the stiffness could radiate from the base of the back of the head to the muscles of the shoulders and could also be accompanied by headaches. Usually the strain gets better, even without any medical intervention, and if this is not the case or if pain persists even after taking pain medications for a few days, then a medical consultation should be sought.
