Nasal polyps are growth of abnormal tissue in the lining of the nasal passages as well as the sinuses. These growths could vary in size and could differ in colour and shape. Large polyps could block the airways and could also affect a person’s ability to perceive taste. Asthma, allergic rhinitis, cystic fibrosis and some medications can all be a cause of nasal polyps.
