Nappy rash is common in infants between 9 and 12 months. A nappy rash looks red and inflamed and is found the skin that is in close contact with the baby’s nappy. The rash can spread to the baby’s genitals as well as the folds of the thighs. The baby may be irritable, crying and may lose weight. Nappy rash has to be treated immediately as this could lead to yeast and bacterial infections.
