It uses the sound and rhythm to create a musical relationship between the music therapist and client. Music therapy helps in minimizing the effects of emotional trauma due to mental illness. It is an interactive and non-verbal form of treatment. The main aims of music therapy are reduction of anxiety and an increase in self confidence and self expression.
