Meibomian cyst

Meibomian cyst

Meibomian cyst is also called chalazion which is the development of a fluid-filled sac along the eyelid. This cyst feels like a hard lump against the eyeball. It could resolve itself without treatment, but if it becomes infected it could be removed through a minor operation. A chalazion is caused by a blockage of a tiny gland located along the eyelid.
