Legionnaire's disease is an infectious disease which mainly affects the lung, often leading to pneumonia. It is caused by Legionella bacteria, which cause muscle pains, fever, chills and breathing difficulties. The bacteria is caught by breathing droplets of contaminated water; it is found in water sources like rivers and lakes. This infection can also spread in places where there is a single water supply, such as buildings and hospitals.
