Labyrinthitis
Labyrinthitis is an inner ear infection. It causes a delicate structure deep inside your ear called the labyrinth to become inflamed, affecting your hearing and balance. As most cases improve with rest and hydration, treatments include medications such as corticosteroids, antiemetics or even antibiotics. In chronic labyrinthitis more involved treatments such as Vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT) may be recommended.
