Hip resurfacing
Hip resurfacing is a hip replacement procedure in which surface of hip joint is replaced only. The candidates for hip resurfacing are relatively younger than the candidates for total hip replacement. Hip resurfacing is a more conservative procedure. In this procedure head of the femur and surface of acetabulum are resurfaced and a metal implant is cemented.
