Granuloma annulare is a benign inflammatory skin condition that has an unknown cause. This condition is characterized by the presence of dermal papules and plaques along the affected area of the skin which lasts for weeks to years. It is thought to be associated with the presence of diabetes. There are several varieties of granuloma annulare but the treatment is focused on the use of steroids (in creams and injection forms) and the use of cryotherapy.
