Gamete intra-fallopian transfer (GIFT)
Gamete intrafallopian transfer is a procedure that helps couples suffering from infertility. The eggs are harvested from the woman’s ovaries and then placed in one of her fallopian tubes along with the sperm of the partner. It may take around 6 weeks to complete a GIFT cycle and the woman is prescribed fertility medications to improve the production of healthy eggs.
