Ear cancer

Ear cancer

Ear cancer is a rare form of cancer usually developing from the skin located along the outer ear. Structures of the inner ear may also become cancerous. However these are very uncommon. Squamous cell carcinoma and basal and malignant carcinoma are just three of the main types of growths that could lead to skin cancer. A biopsy of the skin tissue along the area of the ear is needed to make an accurate diagnosis. Chemotherapy is used to treat cancers of the ear.
