Cyberknife surgery

Cyberknife surgery

CyberKnife is an advanced non-invasive radiotherapy treatment, which is an alternative to surgery. It may be used for the treatment of cancerous and non-cancerous tumours in organs such as the prostate, brain, lungs, spleen, liver, pancreas and kidneys. CyberKnife delivers high doses of radioactive material to tumours in the form of beams which increases the accuracy of the treatment. This accuracy is also important by reducing the possibility of radiation destroying healthy and non-cancerous tissue.
