Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG)
Coronary artery bypass graft or CABG is a surgical procedure that allows blood to bypass a blocked artery by diverting it via a newly grafted vein. This vein is normally harvested from , say a leg, which is then attached to the coronary artery just below and above the diseased artery, thus bypassing the blocked section. There could be one or more grafts depending on the severity of the disease.
