Colon polyp removal
Colon polyp removal is a surgical removal of polyps from the colon. There are several surgical procedures that may be used to achieve this. One is snaring the growth assisted with a colonoscope; the polyp is then cut with a hot wire and removed. Another is with the use of an electric probe again assisted with a colonoscope. The polyp is burned off and then removed from the section of the colon to which it was attached.
