Breathlessness
Breathlessness is a symptom which means difficulty in breathing. It can occur due to lung and heart related diseases. The feeling of breathlessness arises because of insufficient oxygen reaching the tissues, so if the heart is not pumping well, it will not circulate blood sufficiently in the body to carry the oxygen. Asthma, Pneumonia (lung infection), pulmonary embolism (clot in lung), anxiety, obesity or anaemia can cause breathlessness in the individual.
