Abdominal pain refers to stomach ache and is a bowel and stomach condition. It normally lasts for a short period of time but if it is more severe or lasts longer, then you should consult your doctor immediately. Reasons for abdominal pain can be - trapped wind, diarrhoea, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, urinary tract infection, peptic ulcer, constipation, acid reflux or a number of other stomach related disease. It can also occur in children.
