Tummy tuck

Tummy tuck

Tummy tuck surgery is also known as abdominoplasty. It is cosmetic surgery performed to remove excess and loose fat from the abdomen which is not responding to diet and exercise. The abdomen is flattened by removing the extra fat and skin and tightening the muscles in the abdomen. Complete abdominoplasty and partial abdominoplasty are two common types of tummy tuck surgery and liposuction can be used in addition - this can be discussed with your cosmetic surgeon. Possible complications are infection, pain, swelling and bleeding under the skin.
