Eyebrow transplant: a growing demand

The Harley Street Hair Clinic offers a range of hair restoration treatments, including their revolutionary FUE hair transplant procedure. In the last year they've seen a growing demand for their FUE eyebrow reconstruction procedure and today they're looking at why it’s so popular.

What is an eyebrow transplant?

An eyebrow transplant is an innovative procedure offered at the Harley Street Hair Clinic. An eyebrow transplant is a treatment in which hair is transplanted from the head to the brow area in order to produce natural looking, fuller eyebrows.

How does an eyebrow transplant work?

Eyebrow transplants work in the same way as an FUE hair transplant. Hair is transplanted from an area referred to as the donor area, for an eyebrow transplant, the hair will be taken from any area on the head.

The donor area is anesthetised and individual follicles are removed with a custom built micro-surgical punch. The follicular units are carefully removed and prepared for the transplant. The donor area heals within 7 days.

The brow area, where the hair will be transplanted to is called the recipient area. The recipient area is anesthetised and a micro-surgical blade creates small incisions and the donor hairs are inserted.

The Clinic's expert doctors carefully angle the hair follicles at just the right direction to mimic natural hair growth. The hair is placed in areas that are thin, or across the whole brow to leave clients with natural looking eyebrows.

The recipient area heals within 7 days and your new eyebrows will begin growing, you’ll notice your eyebrows looking fuller after around four months.

Who is suitable for an eyebrow transplant?

An eyebrow transplant is a suitable treatment for a variety of different people. At the Harley Street Hair Clinic, they can help a client achieve fuller looking eyebrows and can even achieve natural looking eyebrows for clients who have little to no eyebrow hair.

The treatment can work for those who spent years over plucking and are now left with extremely thin eyebrows, an eyebrow transplant can work to fill out eyebrows and give you fuller looking eyebrows.

Scarring in the eyebrow area is extremely common and can leave gaps where the hair can no longer grow. An eyebrow transplant can work to fill in these gaps.

For those who have experienced hair loss due to illness and have found the hair on their eyebrows has not grown back can benefit from an eyebrow transplant. The procedure can achieve natural looking eyebrows.
