Want to know more about DNA testing? David Hartshorne of DNA testing service Orchid Cellmark in Oxfordshire answers some common questions about the DNA testing process from choosing a lab to receiving the results.
Video Transcript: How long do I have to wait for the DNA results?
DNA testing is really quite rapid, in a standard paternity test we would expect that the result would be available approximately three to five days from when all the samples arrive at our laboratory.
The whole process from when you first contact a tester to when you get your results will take several weeks to allow for all the samples to be taken from all parties who are being tested.
