Ms Paula Sabino attained her medical degree in 1990. She qualified as a consultant general surgeon in 1999 and took up a post as Consultant General Surgeon at the Caldas da Rainha Hospital in Portugal. During this time, she took an active role in launching the hospital's surgical day care unit and treated surgical patients through the Portuguese National Health Service. With a personal interest in emergency and trauma care, she also developed specialised procedures in emergency surgery. Ms Sabino moved to the UK in 2012 and worked at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, before joining the Practice Plus Group as a Consultant General Surgeon.
