James Brown: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Plymouth
Mr James Brown gained his medical degree from the University of Bristol in 1996. Following six months surgical training at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, he joined the All-Wales training program in trauma and orthopaedics. During this time, he gained significant trauma experience and also undertook a six-month attachment to an orthopaedic centre in the Transkei, South Africa. Following the award of the CCST, Mr Brown undertook Fellowships in foot and ankle surgery at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex. Mr Brown has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Plymouth since 2012. He undertakes a high volume of elective foot and ankle cases, including ankle arthroscopy, joint fusions, joint injections, tendon reconstructions and forefoot problems. He also offers a range of knee surgery procedures, including arthroscopy and knee replacement.
