Mr Gyorgy Lovasz gained his medical degree at the University of Pécs in Hungary and completed his orthopaedic surgery training in 1991. He worked as a consultant surgeon in various academic positions at the Department of Orthopaedics of the University of Pécs and completed a two-year orthopaedic fellowship in Los Angeles, USA. He was a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon in Al Ain, UAE for three years. Mr Lovasz has worked at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough since 2013. His main field of interest is lower limb arthroplasty and he has performed more than 4000 surgical procedures in the UK, including hip and knee replacements, knee revisions, knee arthroscopies, foot surgeries and hand surgeries.
