Thorwald Springer: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Derbyshire
A graduate of the University of Medical Sciences in Poland, Mr Thorwald Springer became a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon registered with the GMC in 2008. He worked at the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Glasgow from 2009 to 2011 where he completed a fellowship in orthopaedics. During this time, he also worked for Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon before returning to Poland to work at the University Clinical Hospital in Poznan. Mr Springer resumed his work at Barlborough Hospital in 2017 where he carries out hip and knee replacement surgeries and knee arthroscopies. He has a special interest in hip revision surgery. It is his belief that the best patient outcomes can only be achieved when decisions are carefully considered and evidence-based, with total focus on patient choice.
