Private Clinic located in Harley Street is an independent private general
practice providing a private family GP service, acupuncture, travel consultations and vaccinations, health screening for both women and men and personalized dietetic and nutritional consultations.

Dr Cristina Romete who has been in private practice in
Harley Street for over 6 years established the clinic in 2010. She works alongside her colleagues Dr Nicola Wheal and Dr Dee Bhakta, a dietetic and
nutritional specialist. Since inception, the clinic’s reputation has
continuously spread largely through personal recommendation; the number of
private patients and corporate institutions registered with the practice has
steadily grown and the membership program is proving particularly successful.
Dr Cristina Romete
Dr Cristina Romete is a Member of the Royal College of General
Practitioners and holds the Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning,
the Diploma of the Royal
College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology and the Diploma of the Faculty of Occupational
Medicine.
She initially trained as a hospital physician before
pursuing a career in General Practice. She has been practicing as a general
practitioner since 2005. She trained in Acupuncture in 2006-2008 with the British Medical
Acupuncture Society at the Royal
Homeopathic Hospital.
In addition to her strong medical background, she has also
acquired extensive experience in all aspects of occupational health,
from management and policy making to screening and medicals; she is a member of
the Society of Occupational
Medicine.

Dr Nicola Wheal
Dr Nicola Wheal graduated from
Guy’s and St Thomas’s Medical School in 2003.
She has nearly 7 years
experience in General Practice and has been in private practice since 2012. She
joined our Harley Street GP team in March 2013.
In the past she formally
taught undergraduate medical students and junior doctors from King's College
London, clinical and leadership skills that are invaluable for a successful GP.
She has a keen interest in skin disorders, health screening, preventative
medicine, mental health, children and women’s health. In addition, she has been

Dr Dee Bhakta
Dr Dee
Bhakta is a registered
dietitian and a
senior lecturer in Human Nutrition at London Metropolitan University where she
teaches nutrition and dietetic students and leads the MSc Course in
International Public Health Nutrition/ Clinical Nutrition and BSc Course in
Public Health Nutrition. She has recently joined the RoC Private Clinic team
and is currently working with our doctors in developing specific programmes to
help our patients.
She has a
First Class honours degree in BSc Nutrition from King’s College, University of
London, and a PhD in Nutrition Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene
and Tropical Medicine. She has been a lecturer and nutrition researcher since
2003 and is also a visiting lecturer at universities in New York and
Rome. She lectures on how current nutrition policy is derived from
evidence-based research on the relationship between diet and chronic diseases
including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity and cancer.
