The London General Practice has been set up by Dr Paul Ettlinger, one of London’s most respected and well established private doctors. Dr Ettlinger and his associate Dr Cristina Romete are based in the Harley Street area of London providing patients with a comprehensive range of excellent private health care.

Professional medical team

The London General Practice comprises Dr Paul Ettlinger, his associate Dr Cristina Romete and a team of professional medical staff. All members of team are very experienced and highly qualified in their respective fields. They are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable making any visit to the Practice comfortable and efficient.

Dr Paul Ettlinger

Dr Ettlinger - BM, DRCOG, MRCGP is a member of the Royal College of General Practioners and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He is currently the Honourary Secretary for the Independent Doctors Forum and a member of The British Travel Health Association.

He was a Principal in NHS General Practice with the Family Health Service Authority for Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster from 1985 to 1991. He also lectured at St Mary‘s Hospital Medical School, University of London and worked as an Assistant to the Professor of Surgery at the Westminster Teaching Hospital. He has written a number of papers, including one on the importance of personal and continuity of care in General Practice, which has been published in the British Medical Journal. 

Dr Cristina Romete

Dr Romete is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. She also has Diploma's from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Faculty of Family Planning and the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

She has worked for the NHS for eight years, after which she moved into Private Practice, and has joined The London General Practice as a full time General Practitioner. She is currently studying for the Diploma in Acupuncture and practices Acupuncture at the Royal Homeopathic Hospital.

Dr Romete provides Occupational Health Assessments for several companies and their employees. She has particular interest in both women and children's health. She is qualified to insert coils and follows the national guidelines in child vaccination programmes. She is a generalist and enjoys all aspects of primary care.
