Mr Riza Ibrahim MBBS, FRCS (Glas), FRCS (Gen & Vascular) is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon for The Manor Hospital Walsall and also runs a private practice at Spire Little Aston Hospital. Mr Ibrahim carried out his basic surgical training in Edinburgh, where he had the opportunity to work with Prof. V.Ruckley, one of the UK’s pioneers of vascular surgery.
Prior to his higher surgical training rotation in Manchester, Mr Ibrahim spent a year with Peter Harris at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital which was on of the first in the country to establish keyhole aneurysm repairs.
Mr Ibrahim completed his research assignment at Manchester Royal Infirmary and went on to complete his higher surgical rotation in vascular and general surgery. During his time at Manchester Royal Infirmary and South Manchester University Hospital, Mr Ibrahim was able to obtain advanced training in keyhole vascular procedures.
Mr Ibrahim was appointed Consultant Vascular Surgeon at The Manor Hospital, Oxford in 2006. He was responsible for establishing the Endo-Vascular Aneurysm Programme in Walsall and was instrumental in the adaptation of the national stroke strategy for stroke prevention.
