Mr Neil Browning is a consultant vascular & general surgeon specialising in minimally invasive vascular surgery for varicose veins & aneurysm repairs.
Mr Browning is a consultant vascular surgeon of 10 years standing. After doing his basic medical and general surgery training in South Africa, he trained in vascular surgery in Manchester (UK), Seattle and Houston (USA). He is a founder member of the Surrey Vascular Group and started The Vein and Artery Clinics in the private sector with the aim of introducing minimally invasive techniques into the private clinics where he practices.
Clinical interests
Mr Browning’s main interests are in minimally invasive vascular surgery. This includes techniques like radiofrequency ablation (VNUS) and endovenous laser therapy (EVLT) for varicose veins; endovascular stenting to treat thoracic and abdominal aneurysms (EVAR); carotid surgery and stenting to prevent strokes and keyhole surgery and Botox injections for excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis).
Mr Browning also has an interest in hernia surgery.
Research interests
Mr Browning has introduced and refined laser treatment for varicose veins under local anaesthetic in his local NHS hospital, making this a walk-in/walk-out service. This is equally applicable in the private sector.
He also developed a new technique of hernia repair called the Stapled Kugel Mesh Repair.
