Shoulder and elbow disorders treated by Mr Graham
Geoff Graham specialises in shoulder and elbow surgery and has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the University teaching hospital in Cardiff since 1991. He undertakes only shoulder and elbow surgery and his special interests are in sports injuries, rotator cuff problems and frozen shoulder. He does however treat all types of shoulder and elbow problems. He developed an interest in shoulder and sports surgery due to injuries he sustained to his own shoulders while playing rugby for Wasps as a medical student.
The majority of the surgery he performs is arthroscopic (keyhole) although he also has a large experience of open surgery and has developed the procedures he uses over a number of years. He has access to the most modern diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, and uses the most appropriate and innovative techniques.
Although he as a special interest in sports injuries the vast majority of his patients are ordinary people with shoulder and elbow problems due to “wear and tear”. These problems are very disabling and through his enormous experience Geoff has developed techniques for successfully treating the vast majority of the patients he sees.
