Where can I get treatment with private psychiatrist, Dr Sally Cubbin?
Contact details
Dr Cubbin will
see patients for the assessment of most general psychiatric conditions. An
initial assessment costs £300 and lasts up to 90 mins. Some insurance companies
will only fund a one hour assessment – details available on application.
Follow-up appointments are 45 minutes and cost £150. ADHD assessments
take much longer due to the assessment of extra information needed, such
as school reports and informant questionnaires or an interview with family
members who knew you well as a child. Extra time is needed for the assessment
of impairment due to ADHD symptoms in childhood and adulthood as well as a
psychiatric assessment. A comprehensive report will be written following these
assessments. Therefore ADHD assessments are charged at a higher rate which is
currently £750. If a diagnosis of ADHD has been made previously eg during
childhood, and correspondence is available to prove this, then costs for the
consultation for a diagnostic assessment for the presence of adult ADHD may be
reduced. If clinically appropriate, a telephone and email follow-up package can
be purchased for ADHD medication reviews following an assessment in order to
quickly and efficiently titrate the dose of ADHD medication. This may be more
convenient and cost effective than one-to-one visits. This costs £250 for a two
month period which usually includes up to six telephone calls.
