Psychiatric treatment

Tailored treatments offered by Dr Loughlin include:

  • General Anxiety Disorder
  • Panic Disorder
  • Social Phobia
  • Specific Phobia
  • Obsessive – compulsive – disorder
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder
  • Neuropsychiatric disorders

  • Illness anxiety
  • Major depression
  • Bipolar depression
  • Addictions
  • Adult ADHD
  • Memory and cognitive problems

He believes that by seeking private help and treatment early, patients themselves can help prevent mental health conditions from deteriorating. Early treatment also enables patients to recovery more efficiently and effectively. Patients that get help sooner are more likely to be able to save both time and money, as they may be able to be treated as outpatients or day patients and not be admitted to an inpatient facility. However, Dr Loughlin has well-established links with private psychiatric inpatient facilities for patients with greater needs, requiring inpatient care.

Payment

Dr Loughlin accepts both self-paying and private medically insured patients. Patients wishing to use their private medical insurance are required to contact their insurer to check they are covered for their desired treatment. Patients will also need a GP referral before booking a consultation if using their insurance policy. A GP referral is desirable, but not always necessary, for self-paying patients. Home visits can also be arranged.
