Dr Imtiaz ul Haq treats all types of child and adolescent mental health disorders with special interests in childhood and adult ADHD. He specialises in the assessment, early intervention, prevention and management of emotional and behavioural disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, sleep disorders, eating disorders, and depression and anxiety disorders in children and young persons.
Dr Imtiaz ul Haq MB,BS; MCPS (Psych); DCAP (London) is a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with 17 years' experience of working in this field.
He has practised at the Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust since 2006 as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. He is clinical lead for the ADHD specialist service for the Newcastle area and is actively involved in teaching and training medical students and junior doctors.

Dr Haq graduated in 1984 and acquired training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the prestigious Institute of Psychiatry London, the Maudsley Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London as well as the Northern Deanery, Newcastle upon Tyne. Currently Dr Haq works as a Consultant for the Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest mental health trusts in England, and he holds privilege to practice at the Nuffield Health, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospital.
