Surgical correction of protruding ears
Protruding or 'bat' ears in children can attract teasing and
sometimes bullying, leading to anxiety and a loss of self-esteem. Surgery to correct protruding ears
(otoplasty) is often performed before a child starts school around age 5 or 6,
at a time when the cartilage of the ear is still pliable and the child can
experience the full psychological benefits.
With a wealth of experienced in paediatric ENT, having worked at Great
Ormond Street Hospital, London and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto,
Canada, Mrs Panesar offers expert assessment and correction of protruding ears
in children. She is also happy to
