Adam Fox is one of a few children's allergy doctors in the UK with recognised higher specialist training in paediatric allergy and is a Consultant Paediatric Allergist at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, Europe's largest children's allergy centre.

Dr Adam Fox MA(Hons)Cantab., MSc, MB, BS, DCH, FRCPCH, FHEA, Dip. Allergy is a Consultant Paediatric Allergist who is actively involved in cutting edge research and has extensive expertise in the use of new treatments, such as desensitisation, not available outside of specialist departments.

Adam is widely published on allergic disease in both the medical and lay press and has been quoted in numerous newspapers including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal as well as The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, The Daily Mail and Daily Express. He has also been interviewed on BBC News, Sky News and regularly lectures around the world.

Career history

Dr Adam Fox graduated from Cambridge University with double honours in Medical and Neurosciences before completing his clinical medical training at University College London. He trained in Paediatrics and then Paediatric Allergy in some of the country's leading teaching hospitals including Great Ormond Street Hospital, St Mary's and the Royal Free Hospital.

He is now a consultant Paediatric Allergist at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals, where his clinic was recently visited by the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee as an exemplar of good clinical practice whilst preparing for their report on UK Allergy Services. Adam is also an honorary senior lecturer in Paediatric Allergy at King's College London.

Dr Fox is also a medical adviser to Allergy UK and Anaphylaxis Campaign and a council member of the British Society of Allergy & Clinical Immunology. He is a commissioning editor for Pediatric Allergy & Immunology, the official journal of the European Academy of Allergy & Clinical Immunology and a medical consultant on children's allergy to Dorling Kindersley and Annabel Karmel.
