Sanat Shah: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Hip and Knee Specialist, Manchester

Mr Shah is a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon specialising in lower limb problems. His subspecialty is hip and knee replacement including revision, hip resurfacing and knee arthroscopy.

Mr Shah underwent postgraduate orthopaedic training in Manchester and Southampton. He obtained subspecialty experience in lower limb arthroplasty .

He was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary hospital affiliated to Manchester University in 2003. Mr Shah practices trauma as well as elective orthopaedics. The elective practice consists mainly of hip and knee replacement surgery, revision and hip resurfacing.

He is also actively involved in teaching of undergraduate as well as postgraduate students at Manchester University. He also regularly teaches on AO trauma courses.
