Mr Anthony Hearnden qualified from King's College Medical School London in 1995. Completing his years as a junior doctor at the Royal Surrey he then spent a year learning techniques in plastic surgery.
Mr Hearnden began his orthopaedic training in South West London before winning a prestigious hand and shoulder surgery fellowship at the Wrightington Upper Limb Unit. In 2007 he was made a consultant at Wrightington, where he routinely treated complex and tertiary hand, elbow and upper limb disorders from the North West of England. He returned to Guildford in 2010 to take up a consultant post at the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
In addition to his surgical qualifications, Mr Hearnden holds a BSc in medical physics and is an honorary senior lecturer in orthopaedic management at Salford University.
