Mr Andrew Quaile qualified from Charing Cross Hospital, London in 1978 and spent a number of years practising medicine in the Royal Navy. He accredited as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 1992 and then gained experience as a consultant in orthopaedics with a specialist interest in spinal surgery in Brisbane, Australia where he had his own private practice. On return to the United Kingdom in 1995, he took up a Consultant post in general orthopaedics with a special interest in spine, at the East Somerset NHS Trust for three years.
Mr Quaile started work at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Trust as a Consultant Spinal Orthopaedic Surgeon in October 1998. He has now resigned from the NHS with the aim of devoting more time to providing a high quality spinal service. He has developed the ‘One Stop Clinic’ which offers initial assessment, MRI scan, review appointment and treatment plan all within a single day. He provides care at The Hampshire Clinic, Old Basing, Basingstoke, Hampshire and Mount Alvernia Hospital, Harvey Rd, Guildford, Surrey.
At present he is one of only fifty five full time spinal orthopaedic surgeons practising in the United Kingdom.
Mr Quaile is Medical Director of SpineWorks which is based within The Hampshire Clinic, Basingstoke. SpineWorks has a team of Consultant Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeons, Consultant Vascular Surgeons and Consultants in Acute and Chronic Pain Medicine who provide consultations on a wide range of spinal and back problems. SpineWorks run a wide range of events throughout the South-east. As well as offering expertise and advice to the general public, SpineWorks is committed to educating all levels of health professionals in back care best practice.

Investigations are organised, as required, either before or following your initial consultation. These will include some or all of the following: MRI scan, CT scan, bone scan, Blood tests, plain x-rays.
Patients are always informed of fees prior to any operative or non-operative procedures required, and uninsured patients are sent out a quote for hospital admission and specialist fees prior to admission.
