Specialist in reconstructive knee surgery and the management of degenerative and ligamentous injuries of the knee.
Mr Lang-Stevenson, BSc, MB ChB, FRCS, FRCSE, was awarded his BSc at St. Andrews, Scotland in 1971 and MB ChB in Dundee in 1974. He then moved on to London, Exeter, Cardiff and Sheffield for a comprehensive training in all aspects of general and orthopaedic training.
He was awarded the Smith & Nephew Travelling Fellowship and Norman Capener Fellowship to study knee surgery in Toronto, Canada for a year as Prof R W Jackson's senior knee fellow. Prof Jackson is arguably the founder of modern arthroscopic surgery in the western world.
Mr Lang-Stevenson has been a member of the International Arthroscopy Association for 23 years and is also a member of the European and British Knee Associations.
His interest in knee surgery dates back to 1980 and he is now a pure knee specialist in private practices, providing a tertiary referral service for complex knee problems. At present he sees approximately 800 new patients with knee problems a year.
