A consultant eye surgeon in Kent, specialising in aesthetic surgery, cataract surgery, refractive surgery and the treatment of glaucoma with a special interest in early glaucoma diagnosis, laser refractive surgery, small incision day case cataract surgery and the latest laser and surgical techniques for glaucoma.
Mr Ejaz Ansari BSc (Hons), MBBCh, FRCOphth MD qualified from the
University of Wales College of Medicine where he was awarded the highly competitive International Glaucoma Association Fellowship, which allowed him to undertake dedicated research towards a higher degree (M.D.). He completed his training with a highly regarded Glaucoma Fellowship at
Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
Mr Ejaz Ansari is an established Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and also the Clinical Director for Ophthalmology and Consultant Surgeon for the glaucoma service at the Eye Ear and Mouth Unit,
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. He also has sessions at the Medway and Sittingbourne Hospitals. His private practice is now based at BUPA Hospital Tunbridge Wells and at the BMI Somerfield Hospital, Maidstone.
He is also a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physical Sciences, University of Kent at Canterbury.
Being an excellent teacher he has given many national and international presentations and is working on strengthening hospital links with the community.
