Specialist in elbow, shoulder, hand and wrist problems from sports, degenerative and post-traumatic causes, and treatment of fractures and dislocations of all joints and bones of the upper limb.
Professor Srinath Kamineni, MD, trained in orthopaedics in the UK (including the Royal National Orthopaedic and Middlesex/UCL Hospitals), with clinical fellowship sub-specialisation training in shoulder surgery (University of Switzerland) and elbow surgery (Mayo Clinic - USA).
His primary interest is to achieve excellence in the management of the shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist and hand problems, without compromise.
If a patient's problem cannot be resolved by Professor Kamineni, one of his colleagues or by reference to current literature, it is taken to the research arena of clinical and laboratory based research. Professor Kamineni is also a professor of bioengineering at Brunel University in West London, where he develops solutions that are then, after peer review, brought back into the treatment of the patients.
Professor Kamineni's aim is to constantly improve what is known about his chosen sub-specialites, in order that more patients benefit directly and indirectly from his intervention.
He was most recently awarded the prestigious Travelling Fellowship to Japan by the European Society of the Shoulder and Elbow in 2005.
Professor Kamineni's activities in the community include educational lectures and demonstrations to school children, primary care practitioners, orthopaedic surgeon and para-medical specialists.
