A Consultant Surgeon in Southampton with a specialist interest in liver, pancreatic, biliary and laparoscopic surgery.

 

Mohammad Abu Hilal qualifiied from the University of Brescia Medical school in 1997 and received his Diploma of Specialisation in General Surgery from the University of Verona in 2003, then had a further 3 years of UK recognised training in Hepatobiliary Pancreatico Surgery. Since 2006 he works as a Consultant surgeon and honorary senior lecturer at Southampton University Hospitals.

Mr Mohammad Abu Hilal is co-founder of the Advanced Laparoscopic Liver and Pancreatic Surgery (ALLPS), which provides subspecialist services to the Central South Coast area of England including Southampton and Bournemouth. ALLPS also accepts national and international referrals.

Mohammad Abu Hilal follows national guidelines on referral to specialist services, thus usually only accepts referrals from a General Practitioner or other hospital or community based doctor who is responsible for your care. However enquiries are welcome.

 

Non UK patients.

He accepts referrals from non UK sources, again the preferred route is via your own doctor but under some circumstances he is willing to provide an opinion without this. Please contact his private secretary for further details.
