Expert investigation of bowel and gut problems in London
A skilled endoscopist, Mr Chopada offers expert investigation of gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, persistent diarrhoea, constipation, nausea, swallowing problems, rectal bleeding and vomiting blood. An endoscope is a flexible tube with an attached light source and camera that can be inserted into the body in order to examine an area that is producing worrying symptoms. The tube can be passed down the throat to examine the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum (gastroscopy) or through the anus to examine the large bowel (colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy). In addition to producing a clear view of an affected area, photos and biopsies can be taken to aid with diagnosis, and some procedures such as removal of bowel polyps and widening of the oesophagus can be performed during an endoscopy.
A skilled laparoscopic surgeon
Mr Chopada is a highly trained laparoscopic (keyhole) surgeon, using the latest minimally invasive techniques where appropriate, including laparoscopic gallbladder removal (cholecytectomy) and laparoscopic appendix surgery (appendicectomy).
